Expanding Our Reach: 20 New Scholars in 2024

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the proven success of our pilot program, CLEP is scaling up. This September, we welcome 20 new scholars—quadruple our current cohort—bringing hope to more families across three communities.

The selection process was rigorous and community-driven. Local leaders, teachers, and parents nominated children based on need, potential, and family commitment. We conducted home visits, interviewed parents, and assessed each child’s readiness.

Among the new cohort is 8-year-old twins Kemi and Kehinde, whose mother recently lost her job. There’s 10-year-old Emmanuel, who walks 5 kilometers daily to attend a school he can barely afford. And 6-year-old Amarachi, whose infectious smile hides a story of remarkable resilience.

To support this expansion, we’ve hired two additional education coordinators, partnered with five new schools, and expanded our nutrition program kitchen. Our mentorship team has grown to 25 dedicated volunteers.

This is just the beginning. By 2025, we aim to support 100 children annually. With your continued support, we’ll transform hundreds of lives, creating a generation of educated, empowered young Nigerians ready to lead their communities forward.
